This video is something I found through my research of story telling, I found it very helpful as in you don't always have to speak words to be able to tell stories and tradition and stories that have come from elders are also expressed by just knowing. How would I include this in to my work would be simple as, by using things that are familar to others to tell my stories, e.g. would be by using flowers and placing them on to the waste I have made my outfit questionable to if it belongs to the Cook Islands or not. Also tropical flowers are to represent the Pacific , the colour white to show how pure we used to be and to represent the clean past of yesterday, then the plastic to represent the troubles and fake-ness of today.
Whats not working would be how I am using these objects to tell a story and is it going to be about me or about stories from the past.
This video shows what the importance of Ancient stories are this is exactly what I am trying to describe with in my work, this video describes the visual DNA that I am trying to show within my work. The laws of Aloha and been able to share , how to restore and how to awaken people unto the importance of recognise just how important and scared people are, all people, all lives.
