Igniting conversations

My moving image piece is brought to life from my inspiration towards my aka papa my work has a connection to the past and present, it is strongly influenced by my heritage as a Cook islander and this is my way of giving back to my culture.
Through my piece I hope to awaken and inspire a curiosity into my culture and spark a conversation of the way it relates to life in New Zealand.

What has brought me to this place and what was the turning point in which I have decided to follow. The way I have projected my piece would most probably be between 3 walls this conversation between the walls would be by the viewer. And the walls directly are my blood tie to the past present and future.
